GÜNDOĞAN - FARİLYA

Known as Farilya in ancient times, is situated only couple of minutes drive to west of Yalikavak.It is a quiet and peaceful place which is surrounded by green hills. Gündoğan, has always been an important place for fishing, sponge diving, tangerine and olive growing. Main body of the town is situated inland on the major highway running between Yalikavak and Göltürkbükü. Caves, Wind mills, Cisterns, Rock Cut Monasteries bear witness to great past of Gündoğan. Yali Mosque with its attractive Minaret and windmills are interesting to see. Gündoğan bay is suitable for sailing and surfing.
